Performances
Outside we play shawms (the forerunner of the oboe but much louder) and curtals, but also bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy, long trumpets and pipe and tabor. For quiet music we can play lute, recorders and viols. We can perform outside and on the move for festivals, heritage sites, jousts, and civic events. We can also play inside concerts of loud and soft music with a singer specialising in renaissance music.
Workshops
We can offer workshops for all ages, demonstrating instruments,
playing techniques and life as a renaissance musician. We can bring some instruments to involved audiences in musical participation activities – playing, dancing and singing. We bring music from the period of the Plantagenets to the Tudors to life!
